2006 Award Winning Student Artists from HPAS

Creativity abounds at the High Point Adolescent School. During the 2005-2006 school year, three very talented students were recognized for their creativity in the ASAH Poster Contest, the national VSA Exhibit, and NJ's State History Fair.

Congratulations to Danny Gi who was selected as the 3rd Place winner in the 2006 ASAH poster contest. The theme this year was "Reaching Beyond Boundaries". He received a cash prize of $25.00.

 

Congratulations to Kevin T. whose artwork entititled "A View from My Window" is representing the state of NJ in a national VSA exhibit. His work will be displayed in Washington, DC at Union Station during the month of June 2006. Kevin's artwork was featured in the VSA Magazine that showcased artwork from different states.

  

Congratulations to Meaghan O. who was selected as the 3rd Place winner in the "Spirit of the Jerseys State History Fair." This contest was sponsored by the Department of Environmental Protection. Her artwork entitled, "Twin Lights Photo," was displayed at the Vistor Center Museum at the Washington Crossing State Park in Titusville, NJ throughout May.

 

 

 

 

 

"Our students enjoy all types of art forms from watercolors to photography and digital enhancement," shares HPAS Art Teacher Marianne Petty. "This school year many of our students' original creations were in the spotlight both nationally and state-wide." Congratulations to all of our artists who put so much effort into their creations!
